Soju is one of Korea’s traditional liquors. It’s the beverage of choice for any samgyeopsal (pork belly) party. Just imagine the combination of soju, fatty samgyeopsal and cigarettes when Korean men gather together! Jinro soju used to be the #1 alcoholic drink in the country but it has been replaced by Hite Mekju (beer) a couple of weeks ago.
These days, to boost sales and increase preference among drinkers, the soju companies are using women to promote their products. Imagine the sweet faces of Son Ye Jin and Song Hae Gyo promoting this alcoholic drink!
